Skills Commentary
My favorite thing was the background that I made, mostly because it was one of the most detailed digital art projects that I’ve done to date. It took me a lot of time to figure out the best way to do it so that it looked good.

Ways of Thinking (Creativity, Innovation, Critical Thinking, Problem Solving)
As a team, we were forced to use our problem solving skills a lot, because Big G, the slime was flying when it wasn’t supposed to. Finding a good way for it to move was pretty difficult.
Ways of Working (Communication & Collaboration)
I communicated a lot with the other members of my team to make sure that my level was satisfactory, and was the right size for the boss at the end. I also made sure that my teammates liked the way the level turned out before I finalized it because I figured it was good to get another opinion on my work as a sort of proofread.
Tools for Working (Info & Media Literacy)
I used youtube tutorials as a fallback, but for the most part I just winged it and it worked out alright.
Ways of Living in the World (Life & Career)
This was a new role to me, but for the most part the only thing I gained was some skill in 2-dimensional pixel art. However, I am satisfied with my accomplishments in this area.
Reactions to the Final Version
Jim, the advisory committee member, said that my level was a little too hard at the start, and that I should leave more room for noobs to learn. I do agree with it being difficult, but I feel like I like the way it is right now, because challenge encourages growth. To my knowledge, I didn’t get any feedback from my peers on the game.
Self-Evaluation of Final Version
I’m actually quite happy for once, because we managed to create a game with a definite end point, if not perhaps what we had originally envisioned.
What I Learned and Problems I Solved
I learned a lot about level design, and that it doesn’t go well to rush it. One of the problems that I faced was figuring out how to make a well-designed level, because I was clueless in that regard when I started, so I had to review a few youtube videos first. I also had an issue with Pixilart (The website I used to design the levels and background), as I was having issues with canvas size after saving it as an editable file. I unfortunately never found a fix for it, but I did manage to work around it.
