SUMMARY
Role
I am the level artist/world builder for my team this session. I made the levels, created hitboxes, and assisted with enemy AI and player scripts when necessary.
Intention (SMART Goal)
By May 10th, as a part of team 4, I will identify the rules of my team’s game, and make progress on Brackeys’ tutorial series for level design.
PRE-PRODUCTION – INQUIRY
Leader(s) in the Field / Exemplary Work(s)
The leader in the field that I chose was Shigeru Miyamoto, who is the mastermind behind the Mario series of videogames.

Project Timeline
The first thing I worked on was getting the already included first level to function properly. This involved fixing player hitboxes, and updating the sword sprite. After that was working properly, I designed the third level in pixilart, the pixel art creation tool that I use. (yes, not 2nd, this was due to a miscommunication) I then imported it to Construct, and added hitboxes to it. I playtested the level and then realized that there were a few sections that were impassable, so I fixed them before marking the level as completed.

Frontega Chicken Sandwich (Discontinued)
In this session, my primary goal was the designing of the game’s levels. I created the levels and their backgrounds, added collision hit-boxes, and triggered actions based on the player’s movement.
POST-PRODUCTION – REFLECTION
21st Century Skills
Ways of Thinking (Creativity, Innovation, Critical Thinking, Problem Solving)
My team and I worked together to fix issues in the code and level design when we came across them.
Ways of Working (Communication & Collaboration)
My team talked through different paths our game could take, and voted on ideas.
Tools for Working (Info & Media Literacy)
Youtube and other online tutorials helped me gain a better understanding of level design aspects.
Ways of Living in the World (Life & Career)
Reactions to the Final Version
I can’t remember any direct quotes, but I remember that some people were mentioning the player’s hitbox being weird.
Self-Evaluation of Final Version
I feel like for the third time, we overestimated our skills, but I feel like the content that we had was acceptable.
Grammar and Spelling
Built in spell check and Grammarly.
